Carin Sophie Adlersparre, born Leijonhufvud July 6, 1823 at Helgerum in Västrum, Kalmar County, died June 27, 1895 at Ström vid Södertälje, was a Swedish baroness and pioneer in the Swedish women's movement, also known under the signature "Esselde". Together with Rosalie Olivecrona, she founded the nordic countries first women's magazine; "The magazine for the home" in 1859 and in 1884, she founded the Fredrika Bremer Association.
