Carin Sophie Adlersparre, born Leijonhufvud July 6, 1823 at Helgerum in Västrum, Kalmar County, died June 27, 1895 at Ström vid Södertälje, was a Swedish baroness and pioneer in the Swedish women's movement, also known under the signature "Esselde". Together with Rosalie Olivecrona, she started the nordic countries first women's magazine, "The magazine for the home" in 1859 and in 1884, she founded the Fredrika Bremer Association.
